Title:

The sword unsheathed : short sermons of gospel exhortation and reproof $c / by Thos. H. Lowe

Publisher:

Riverside, CA : Riverside Enterprise Print, 1916.

Format:

228 p. : port. ; 18 cm.

Description:

Thomas H. Lowe (1843-1925), a farmer from Indiana, retired and moved to Riverside, California, in about 1908. In this book, Lowe argued for a post-conversion Spirit baptism. He cited scriptures that include references to tongues, but he didn't state that tongues are for today. He expressed strong opposition to church organization. Lowe was apparently a radical Holiness believer, perhaps Pentecostal.

File also includes Thomas H. Lowe obituary (South Bend Tribune, Aug 5, 1925, p. 18)
