William Parry (Oct 26, 1879 - Oct 15, 1972), an AG layman who had a heart for missions. He made his living working for the U.S. government for 35 years, 24 of which were at the Bureau of Standards. In 1949 he traveled to Great Britain to visit relatives who were still struggling in the aftermath of WWII. When he returned home he bagan sending clothing and food items to his family in Great Britain. After a while he expanded this ministry to include sending clothing, Christian literature, and some food staples to various mission fields. He continued this ministry until a few days before his death in 1972. Accompanying this manuscript are several letters of gratitude and photographs from individuals to whom he had sent literature and clothing.
This tribute was appended to the tribute written by William Parry's daughter, Eleanor.
