The Blackwood Singers is one of several groups which trace their roots to the original Blackwood Brothers Quartet who were members of First Assembly of God (Memphis, TN). The Blackwood Singers first began when Donna, wife of R. W. Blackwood, Jr., was asked to fill in for one of the male positions in an earlier quartet. The Blackwood Singers name has been used at various times. Since about 1990, the group has performed regularly in Pigeon Forge, TN, or Branson, MO. This Blackwood Quartet was formed by R. W. Blackwood, Jr. and Ron Blackwood.

This album was recorded live at Pigeon Forge, TN, in 2015. The group returned to Branson, MO, in 2016 after 15 years in Pigeon Forge.

Group members at the time of this recording included R. W. Blackwood, Jr. and Donna Blackwood. Mark Blackwood may have been a member at this time.
