Description: British Baptist evangelist F. Spencer Johnson and his wife on a flier; circa 1933. The reverse advertised that Johnson would be preaching at Pestisanas Templis (Riga, Latvia), the congregation pastored by William Fetler. The text on the card is in Latvian.
William Fetler, a graduate of Spurgeon's College, was deeply impacted by the Welsh Revival and identified with the Pentecostal movement. He was both Baptist and Pentecostal and established churches in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Riga, Latvia. He wrote books under the pseudonym of Basil A. Malof.
