Back of Photo says: FATHER CALLS IT KIDNAPPING - MIAMI, FLA. -- ETHEL WILLITTS, 44, A WOMAN EVANGELIST NOW PREACHING IN MIAMI, HAS BEEN INSTRUCTED TO GIVE UP 19-YEAR-OLD DOROTHY GOLDEN (RIGHT), WHOM SHE ALLEGEDLY 'SPIRITED' AWAY FROM HER HOME IN DETROIT. THE GIRL'S FATHER DECLARES THAT NOT ONLY DID MISS WILLITTS BREAK UP HIS HOME BY CONVERTING HIS WIFE AND CAUSING A DIVORCE, BUT THAT THE LADY PASTOR HAS 'COERCED' HIS DAUGHTER DOROTHY 'INTO HER EVANGELISTIC CLUTCHES.' THE EVANGELIST CLAIMS THAT THE GIRL SOUGHT SPIRITUAL AND IN DETROIT AND ACCOMPANIED HER TO MIAMI OF HER OWN ACCORD. Photo is stamped with a date of November 27, 1943.
