Henry J. Soltau (1888-1974) was a Methodist minister in Minnesota and South Dakota and crusader against alcohol and corruption. He was a leader in the Minnesota Good Government League and the Hennepin County Law Enforcement League, a temperance group. Henry was perhaps best known for a highly publicized criminal trial (1940-1941) in which he was charged perjury, suborning perjury, and operating as a detective without a license. He was convicted and served 149 days in jail. In his later years, Henry became active in the Full Gospel Business Mens Fellowship and regularly spoke at Assemblies of God churches. His daughter, Ione E. Soltau (1914-2002), was AG ordained and Dean of Women at North Central University (Minneapolis, MN).
