Rev. William E. Kern is interviewed by his son, Orla W. Kern, on September 11, 1978. He tells about his coming into Pentecost and serving as an Assemblies of God minister in Oklahoma and California. He came into Pentecost at a brush arbor meeting near Carney, Oklahoma in about 1918. He was licensed in 1920 and ordained in 1922. Some of the early Oklahoma ministers mentioned include Sloan, Chase, and Haymaker.
