Texas Christian Nursing Home (Houston, TX) was started in 1961 or 1962 as a ministry of Gospel Assembly (Houston, TX). The congregation, started in 1947 by Clyde N. Patton and Don L. Patton, was associated with a network of churches, Gospel Assemblies, which was led by William Sowders and T. M. Jolly. The congregation had several locations: 8010 Flaxman Street (1949-195?); 400 Hemphill Street (1958-1961); 2424 Milam Street (1961-1970); 8712 Airline Drive (1970- ). Texas Christian Nursing Home (Houston, TX) was located at 703 McGowen Street, which was adjacent to the church at 2424 Milam Street.
