The Assemblies of God Children's Home of Illinois was owned and operated by the Illinois District Council. It was located in Maryville, Illinois, with the business office located in Granite City, Illinois. The idea for a children's home started with Mrs. Nettie Kaiser, who was presiden tof the Women's Missionary Council in the 24th and Grand Assembly of God in Maryville, Illinois. After a couple of years enough money was raised to purchase property and a building in 1946. Mrs. Nettie Kaiser was the first superintendent, followed by Mabel A. Creek in June 1951. William Kaiser, Florence Proctor, Hilliard Griffin, and V. D. Gibson also helped to direct the children's home. Records in the scrapbook cover the years from 1946-1964. The children's home was closed and the property sold in about 1968.
