Description:

George E. Flower (1916-1966) was the son of J. Roswell and Alice Reynolds Flower. He served as pastor in various states in New England (1942-1955) and in New Jersey (1965-1966). He also served as Secretary-Treasurer of the New England District (1955-1957). When the district divided into two, he was elected superintendent of the Southern New England district and served in that capacity from 1957-1964.
Sermons are annotated with dates, places preached, and/or occasions. There are a few pages which contain names and dates of baby dedications, church dedications, funeral services conducted, District statistics, etc. These are scattered throughout the folders. There are also a few pages containing jokes, illustrations, and poems scattered throughout the folders.
Most of the sermons do not appear to have been arranged in any particular order. Some of the binders contained dividers which organized the sermons by topic or occasion. The sermons have been removed from the binders and placed in folders and are arranged in the order in which they appeared in the binders.
