Photo caption: FAITH HEALER CURES YOUNG POLIOMYELITIS VICTIM... NOW LITTLE MARY SKIPS WERE WAY TO SCHOOL. A year ago pretty - eight year old MARY STAMP was crippled with Poliomyelitis - just two days before she was due for vaccination - but today Mary is a perky little 'tom-boy' to be seen skpping her way off to school. Mary and her parents live in the little village of West Rasen, Lincolnshire - and Mrs. Stamp says that Mary was cured by faith healing evangelist PETER SCOTHERN of Mansfield. A year ago Mr. Scothern was conducting a faith healing crusade at Market Rasen - Mary had been discharged from hospital as incurable. Mrs. Stamp - in desperation took Mary to the Crusade. A sensation was created when after Mr. Scothern had placed his hands on Mary - she danced around the room and up the Corn exchange steps. Her father MR. GEORGE STAMP a farm worker originally had little faith in faith healing - but now he says 'Seeing is believing' - and he has been baptised into the Pentecostal Church. Now Mary dances and skips everywhere - telling everyone what Jesus has done for her. PHOTO SHOWS: MR. and MRS. GEORGE STAMP and baby PETER - watch while MARY happily skips off to school at her home - West Rasen, Lincolnshire.
