Description:	Joint statement in opposition to California legislative bill AB2943. The bill would prohibit efforts to counsel individuals concerning gender orientation. A number of churches (including the AG) argued that the bill would restrict religious liberties. AB 2943 passed the California House on April 19, 2018. Opposition, including many churches, was organized before the bill came to a vote in the California Senate.
