Irwin St. John Tucker (1886-1982) was an Episcopal priest, a Socialist leader, an Aramaic scholar, and a student of the Near Eastern origins of Christianity. He converted to the Catholic Church in 1954. In this booklet, he recounted the origins of the Assyrian Church of the East and argued that its beliefs are similar to Protestant doctrine, and that the Assyrian Church of the East is a older, uncorrupted form of Christianity in comparison to the Catholic and Orthodox churches.
Originally published in 1934. This edition was published in the 1970s by Benjamin D. Urshan, a Oneness Pentecostal pastor with roots in Persia and the Assyrian Church of the East. Urshan argued that Oneness Pentecostal beliefs are in continuity with those of the Assyrian Church of the East.
