Description:

Bebe Patten, a nationally-known Pentecostal evangelist, held a successful crusade in Oakland, California, in 1944. This crusade led to the founding of Oakland Bible Institute (now Patten University) and the Academy of Christian Education high school (now Patten Academy of Christian Education: K-12), Christian Temple (a local church, now Christian Cathedral), and the Oakland Bible Church (a denomination, now Christian Evangelical Churches of America, Inc.).
