Description:

File contains information on the Lee-Haydon House Bed & Breakfast, located at 1036 E. Sunshine in Springfield, Missouri which was built by unemployed craftsmen for Mrs. Edna Lee during the 1936 depression. It has been reported that Mrs. Lee knew and visited Aimee Semple McPherson in California and modeled this Springfield house after Aimee's house in California. The house was used primarily for Bible study groups, and during the summer months a large tent was set up in the yard for religious services.
