Jan and David completed French language study in Lausanne, Switzerland and Portuguese language study in Loures, Portugal. David also served a term as National Director of ICI and adjunct professor at Continental Bible College in Belgium from 1981-1985. Prior to their appointment as missionaries, the Halls served as Associate/Youth Pastors in Dallas, Oregon, from 1964-1966, and Senior Pastors and Campus Pastor at Canyonville Bible Academy in Canyonville, Oregon from 1966-1968.
