Description:

Vaughn Shoemaker (1902-1991), a member of the Stone Church (Chicago, IL), became a noted cartoonist. In his early years he worked with the Russian and Eastern European Mission. He went on to work for major newspapers and won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1938 and 1947.

Collection of published cartoons and paintings by Vaughn Shoemaker. Some are photocopies. Shoemaker deposited this collection at the FPHC. Shoemaker's arrangement of materials retained in folders.
