G. E. Nethercutt left the Baptist church in 1934 and joined a Oneness Pentecostal church in Saline County, Arkansas. He rejoined the Baptist church in 1935 and became a Baptist preacher. In this book, he describes his experience in the Oneness Pentecostal church and critiques Oneness Pentecostal doctrines and practices, including speaking in tongues, the rejection of the Trinity, the notion that Holy Ghost is received through praise, and the rejection of medicine.
