Caption on the photograph says: CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Tammy Bakker, extreme left, wife of PTL (Praise The Lord) host Jim Bakker, seated at desk, is shown during an earlier telecast of the popular evangelical program. In a recent interview, Mrs. Bakker revealed how she almost lost her mind and her marriage during a difficult period when the Federal Communications Commission threatened to withdraw the license of Canton, Ohio television station WJAN--owned by PTL--over a contribution controversiy involved $337,000. She said, 'I couldn't face loife anymore. Jim was working all the time and I felt neglected.' Later, fearing a nervous breakdown, she entered a California hospital where she received counseling from a PTL worker which led to her recovery. Mrs. Bakker plans to tell her story in a forthcoming book, 'How To Put It Back Together When Everything Is Falling Apart,' and hopes the effort will help others through similar anguishing periods in their own lives.
