From her youth, Emma Creamer (1939-2020) was associated with the Mother Church of God in Christ (Wilmington, DE), under the direction of Ross B. Rainey. She later became a COGIC minister and succeeded pastor Rainey in 1991. However, she shortly afterward became Oneness. In 1994, she founded The Cathedral of Fresh Fire in Wilmington, associated with the Pentecostal Churches of Christ.
