She was a Pentecostal American evangelical, scholar, and writer. In 1971 she established Fountain Gate Ministries (later Fuchsia Pickett Ministries) which included an interdenominational church, a Bible college, and a Christian academy, as well as a daily radio program and weekly TV ministry.
