Description:
|
Frances Thomas, a female Afro-American Pentecostal pastor from Chicago, graduated from A. A. Allen's Miracle Valley Bible College (Miracle Valley, AZ). She established churches in Chicago and Mississippi. Thomas led hundreds of her church members in 1979 to move to Miracle Valley to establish Christ Miracle Healing Center and Church. According to biographer William Daniel, Thomas taught a virulent hatred of white people. Clashes between church members and community members ultimately led to a violent shootout in 1982.
A continuation of the original book, Shootout at Miracle Valley (Wheatmark, 2009).
