Description:	Dr. Thomas Wyatt (1891-1964)--pastor, evangelist, radio broadcaster, head of a Bible institute, a pioneer in the healing movement, and a prominent figure and proponent of the Latter Rain revival and its doctrines. Following his baptism in the Holy Spirit in the 1930s, he immediately launched into ministry. In 1943, he pioneered a radio ministry, Wings of Healing, which continues to this day with his grandson, Thomas R. Wyatt as director and speaker. In 1948, he predicted that a great revival was coming, which began the following year and came to be known as the Latter Rain movement. Dr. Wyatt was also an ardent patriot and a foe of tyranny and oppression and, in 1952, he challenged Americans to take a stand against the encroaching forces of Communism. In 1960, on the 100th anniversary of the Pony Express, he led a group of 'Freedom Riders,' who rode across the country Pony Express style to deliver a letter to the President [Kennedy] challenging him to take up action against the threat of Communism. Contents: This file contains the Nov 11th 1960 letter to the President concerning the Crusade for God and Freedom by a group of Freedom Riders to take a stand against Communism. -- Brochure 'Freedom Riders arrive at White House' (4 p. ; 28 cm.). -- An undated letter to an inquirer about eternal security. -- Correspondence between Actor Nick Adams (Johnny Yuma) and Dr. Wyatt, inviting Adams to take part in a city-wide youth crusade. -- 'Ye shall receive power,' the personal testimony concerning his baptism in the Holy Spirit (from a Wings of Healing undated publication).
