The Italian District began in 1948 as the Italian Branch. At the 1973 General Council, the foreign language branches gained district status. The Italian District continued until November 1990 at which time they disbanded and the ministers and churches became part of the respective districts in which they were located.

This file contains the office files of the Italian Branch/District 1948-1990. It is not clear if it represents the complete files of the District. Most of the material is in English, but there are some letters and documents in Italian.The files have been transferred to archival folders but their original folder titles have been retained. Along with the file folders are four journals: April 1965-January 1969 (income); Two journals titled: Missionary giving for fiscal years 1959/1960 - 1960/61 and 1960/61 - December 1964; And a journal of clergy group life insurance payments, January 1959- August 1967. A collection of check stubs for July 11, 1974 - July 29, 1975 is also included.
