Description:	Resolution 3, prepared for the AG General Council in 2017, proposed a change in the AG constitution (Article 3, line e) from 'To respond to human need with ministries of compassion,' to 'To respond to human need with ministries of compassion and actions that promote justice and peacemaking.' This resolution sparked constroversy, as certain individuals felt that the wording might be used to downgrade support for the nation of Israel. Israel is not mentioned in the resolution. This file contains a sample of the opposition to Resolution 3. Cedric Fisher posted a commentary of the website Lighthouse Trails in which he asserted that this amounted to a 'resolution against Israel.' General Superintendent George Wood responded to that accusation. This was followed by 2 additional posts on the Lighthouse Trails website.
