The Eastern District Council was formed in 1917 lasted until 1980. The Pennsylvania-Delaware District Council began in 1981.

From 1917-1957/1958 the Eastern District published Minutes. From 1958/1959-1980 the district published Yearbooks. Yearbooks contains constitution and by-laws, District Council minutes, ministerial directories, church directories, and annual reports. However, the contents of yearbooks are inconsistent, and may lack some of these elements. As a result, some of these elements may also have their own archive record.

The original of 1943 (special council) is located in the Appalachian District Correspondences file in 33/4/1.
