McCaig documents the missions work of William Fetler and others in Latvia and Russia. Fetler, a graduate of Spurgeon's College, was deeply impacted by the Welsh Revival and also identified with the Pentecostal movement. He was both Baptist and Pentecostal and established churches in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Riga, Latvia. Fetler also published under the pseudonym of Basil A. Malof.
