Description:
|
The author is the wife of Joel Hemphill, a Pentecostal pastor, evangelist and gospel songwriter. This book documents their Pentecostal heritage and their life and ministry together. LaBreeska was a part of the Happy Goodman family, who were Pentecostal gospel musicians. Joel's father, William T. Hemphill, was at the founding meeting of the Assemblies of God in 1914 but did not join. He instead became a Oneness Pentecostal minister. Joel and LaBreeska were Oneness Pentecostals from 1959 to 2005, when they changed their doctrine of the godhead. Their new belief identifies God the Father as God and Jesus as the son of God but not as God.
