At the time of this recording, John Ashcroft was Missouri state Auditor (1973-1975). He would later serve as Missouri Attorney General (1977-1985), Missouri Governor (1985-1993), U.S. Senator from Missouri (1995-2001), and U.S. Attorney General (2001-2005).

At the time of this recording, Max Bacon was a Missouri state Representative.

John Ashcroft is an Assemblies of God member. His father, J. Robert Ashcroft, was an AG minister and served as President of Evangel College. Max Bacon is Baptist.
