James F. Pepper (July 3, 1905 - Mar 6, 1996)--AG ordained minister and member of the Cherokee Nation, was born the youngest of ten children near Lebanon, Missouri. Ordained by the Arkansas District in 1926, he pastored churches in Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Montana, and California, where he served for a time as a presbyter of the Southern California District. He retired from full-time ministry in 1970, but remained active in his local Assembly (Sidney, Montana). He passed away in 1996 at the age of 90.
