Nigerian church, Living Faith Church, also known as Faith Tabernacle and Winners' Chapel, embarked on an ambitious plan in the late 2010s to expand the church network by opening up to 10,000 churches, mostly in rural parts of Nigeria. In July, 2021, about 40 pastors of these small churches were dismissed. Some controversy surrounded the reasons for this action.

David Oyedepo is head of this expansive Pentecostal church network.
