Narrator is Jonathan Schoonmaker, son of Paul and Harriet Schoonmaker. He dictates a spontaneous letter in narrative form to be sent to a friend as an update of his activities. He tells about Dr. George Patterson, an Anglican Record at Dean from British Columbia who ministered at the school where he is attending. Dr. Patterson spoke on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The last portion of side one tells personal testimonies about his life at school, taking track, etc.
