Description: A gospel boat built at Wenchow [Wenzhou], China by Pastor and Mrs. Chen of Shanghai in 1948.
This photograph was in the papers of Beatrice and Thelma Hildebrand, AG missionaries to China. It is unknown whether this gospel boat was operated by Pentecostal missionaries. One Pentecostal missions agency, Gloryland Mission of China, founded in Shanghai by James G. Peponis, operated 18 gospel boats in 1937 (see Pentecostal Evangel, June 19, 1937, p. 2).
