This version was published via website in 2004. It includes Parker's text along with an introduction and notes by Ronald E. Pound.
Daniel Parker was a primitive Baptist who became known for his views on an anti-missionary stance and on his teaching concerning the two seeds of Satan and of God. These views were very controversial among Baptists, but gained a degree of support among certain primitive Baptists. Parker would lead in the formation of the Two-Seed-in-the-Spirit Predestinarian Baptist group in Texas.
Parker is of interest in the study of Pentecostalism because certain Pentecostals became proponents of similar two-seed doctrines. This includes William Branham. Benjamin Hardin Irwin, founder of the Fire-Baptized Holiness Church, was later a proponent of the two-seed doctrine, although it is not clear that he supported such teachings while he was with the early Pentecostal body. Some Pentecostals who espouse British Israelism also adhere to a two-seed doctrine.
