The author, a Catholic immigrant from Germany, accepted Christ and was healed in 1908 in Portland, OR. She became an independent missionary who attended Nazarene and Apostolic Faith churches. In 1910, she moved to Los Angeles, where she attended a Geman Pentecostal church and was a helper at Finis Yoakum's Pisgah Home. From 1913 to 1914 she served as a missionary to Germany. Upon the outbreak of war, she returned to America, where she ministered in Chicago and Zion City, IL, Milwaukee, WI, Freeport, IL, and Los Angeles, CA.
