Group members on this album are James Blackwood, R. W. Blackwood, Bill Lyles, and Bill Shaw (except for 2 songs where Shaw is replaced by Alden Toney).

This album is a compilation of songs which featured R. W. Blackwood or Bill Lyles, who were killed in a plane crash in 1954. These songs were recorded between 1948 and 1952.

There is a second memorial album, not included in the FPHC collections.
