Description: (L-r): Carl Malz, Bob Lundstrom, Scott Temple, and Pastor Ruslan, in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, U.S.S.R. (now Russia); June 1991.
According to Ruslan, pastor of an underground charismatic church in the U.S.S.R., this was the first public preaching of the gospel in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, a city of one million. Just 6 months earlier this city had been closed even to Eastern Europeans. These were some of the first Americans to visit. The territorial TV network interviewed them, and the city paper covered their visit. Over 1,000 came out to hear the preaching for 3 days in Gorky Park. Even on a day of non-stop rain, more than 1,000 attended. Hundreds received Bibles and salvation. This also brought an opportunity for Scott Temple to speak before the City Council with nearly 100 government officials in attendance. The Minister of Education also requested 120,000 copies of the Book of Life from Bob Hoskins ministry be sent.
