Sidney N. Correll (1907-1991) was credentialed by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel in the 1930s and the Open Bible Standard Churches in the 1940s. He married Helen Elliott on June 9, 1925 in Los Angeles, California. He founded Christian Tabernacle (Dayton, OH) in 1937. In 1946, he founded Wings over Dayton, an independent Pentecostal missions organization that was later renamed United World Mission. He left Dayton in 1960 to devote himself full-time to missions work and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. He served as president of United World Mission until 1977.
