Description:

James F. Pepper (July 3, 1905 - Mar 6, 1996)--AG ordained minister and member of the Cherokee Nation, was born the youngest of ten children near Lebanon, Missouri. Ordained by the Arkansas District in 1926, he pastored churches in Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Montana, and California, where he served for a time as a presbyter of the Southern California District. He retired from full-time ministry in 1970, but remained active in his local Assembly (Sidney, Montana). He passed away in 1996 at the age of 90.
The sermons in folder one are possibly among his earliest, when he was in his late 20s and early 30s. Some of these sermons include personal references to his conversion (p. 30-32); his healing from typhoid fever (p. 48-49); how God provided for his brother, Charles (p. 53-54); and his mother's death (p. 73) [page numbers supplied by the cataloger].
This file includes some brief biographical material, nine folders of sermons, and one folder of miscellaneous notes. The sermons are chiefly typed. Most have titles and many are dated ranging from 1949-1980s, but they are not arranged in any particular order.
