Description:
|
James D. Norris was the son of S. G. Norris, former pastor of Apostolic Bible Church (St. Paul, MN). Under Norris, Apostolic Bible Church was an influential congregation in the United Pentecostal Church and operated its largest ministerial training school. Under the succeeding pastor, Robert Sabin, the congregation rejected the UPC doctrine that salvation requires baptism in Jesus name and speaking in tongues. In his essay, Sabin discusses his former denomination's views on salvation.
