Chiefly handwritten.
Stephen Burnett Osborn and Claudia Truitt Osborn moved to Zion, Illinois in the 1890s. Stephen Burnett Osborn was ordained an elder by Dowie. They had seven children--Harriet, Belle, Joyce, Elias (Bill), Merritt and Margery (twins), and Silas. The family moved to Indianapolis in 1905, where Osborn was the pastor of the local Christian Catholic Church. Two daughters remained in Zion at school through 1906. The children were involved in the early Indianapolis Pentecostal revival and became close friends with the Flower family.
These letters served as a valuable source to Merritt Osborn in the writing of the manuscript, Marching to Zion.
