Rogers ran for U.S. president in 1968 on the Theocratic Party ticket. Caption with the photo says: 1968 CANDIDATE PRAYS. W. R. Rogers of Fulton, Mo., who says he is an early bird Theocratic Party candidate for U.S. president in 1968, today knelt in front of the Harris County Courthouse. Rogers, a bishop in the Church of God, says he plans to walk seven times around each of the 3130 county courthouses in all 50 states before the 1968 election.
