John Baba operated the Assyrian Press from about 1927 to abount 1937, which produced publications in Modern Syriac. The press was initially located in Gary, Indiana. In 1930 or 1931, the press relocated to 58 West Huron Street, Chicago, Illinois. John Baba may have been related to Samuel J. Baba, an AG minister who served in Chicago and Flint, Michigan, among other places.
This two-volume set reproduces 45 issues (1932-1937) of the Assyrian Chronicle (published mostly in Modern Syriac). The issues include articles by or about Pentecostal Assyrian immigrants in Chicago and elsewhere.
