Description:

Description: Press photo of Ramos Joseph Benoit and family in their tent home in Bangs, Texas; March 1974. Benoit and his family left Lake Charles, Louisiana in October 1973 to follow Pentecosal Evangelist David Terrell.

Ramus Joseph Benoit and his family were members of New Testament Holiness Church (Bangs, TX), a congregation led by Pentecostal evangelist David Terrell. Benoit made the news in 1974 after his six-year-old stepdaughter died. She had a medical condition that could have been corrected, but Benoit believed that it was not God's will to seek medical assistance.

Photograph is stamped on the back with a date of March 17, 1974.
