Postcard caption: MAIN ENTRANCE to 'Fields of the Wood' is a contribution from the state of Michigan. Overall length is 69 feet 9 inches with overall height 16 feet inside. The large lettering 'Fields of the Wood' on the mound in the foreground is a contribution of the state of Tennessee. This lettering is known as the 'Air Identification Marker' visible at an altitude of approximately 10,000 feet. (In 'Fields of the Wood,' Route 294, between Ducktown, Tennessee and Hiwassee Dam).
