The General Constitution and By-Laws were originally issued as part of the PAOC Year Book from 1928 to 1943. There is evidence to suggest Year Books were published in 1929, 1930, and possibly 1942 although no copies have come to light. The first edition of the General Constitution in French appeared in 1994.

The collection is composed of two versions of the General Constitution and bylaws of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. The first set is composed of individual booklets, published by the POAC prior to or following a meeting of the general conference. The second set is composed of photocopies distributed by the PAOC archives of all the surviving copies of this document from 1928 to 2006. French versions were included for 1994, 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2006. There is an introduction page for the entire collection included in the file with the 1928 constitution.
