Photograph caption: Named for President by Prohibitionists. An ardent dry, former Representative William D. Upshaw of Georgia, was nominated for the presidency by the Prohibition Party in Indianapolis, Ind., on July 7th. Upshaw accepted but quickly pledged himself to withdraw if Senator Boran or any other outstanding figure should agree to lead a third party dry campaign. Above photo shows Upshaw (with crutch) in Indianapolis after he had accepted nomination.
