The pastors are Virgil and Edythe Warens. The church was founded as the Sunshine Mission in the mid-1920s by Leona Leota Stage Stotts and her husband. Virgil Warens brought the church into the Assemblies of God around 1941, and it later became known as First Assembly of God.
