Dr. Gena Ross is a licensed Evangelist Missionary with the Church of God in Christ (COGIC). She earned an Associates degree in Urban Ministries from North Central University (AG) in Minneapolis, MN. She won the Democratic nomination for Congress from the Missouri 6th District in 2020, but lost in the general election. District 6 stretches from North Kansas City across the northern third of the state. She was the first black female to win a primary race in that district. In 2022, she is a candidate in the Democratic primary for U. S. Senate from Missouri.
