Description:

E. N. Bell, the first general chairman of the Assemblies of God, pastored the church at Malvern, Arkansas from 1910-1914. This Bible belonged to him while he was pastor. It was later given to Phil Darner, a young man who came to live with the Bell's in 1912 and assisted Bro. Bell in the printing of The Word and Witness at Malvern. When a new sanctuary was erected in 1956-57, this Bible was placed in the cornerstone by Phil Darner in memory of Bro. and Sis. Bell. A letter documenting this was inserted in the Bible. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the church in September 2009, the cornerstone was opened and the Bible was removed. Pastor Jimmy Bobo placed the Bible in the Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center on November 6, 2009.
